ADULT NOVELS

A novel formerly titled ALPHA HOUSE is currently represented by Douglas Stewart at Sterling Lord Literistic.

An excerpt was published in Hunger Mountain, July 2009

This is the story of Jeremy Barker, a fourteen year old boy, who (1) has a secret addiction to stealing women’s magazines, (2) attends an all male, Catholic high school where he is (3) terrorized by a gang of boys dressed all in plaid, and (4) knows way too much about his older brother Jackson’s sexual conquests.  His father (5) has a fascination for surgery, (6) an obsession with necktie knots, and (7) is otherwise completely oblivious. Alpha House is a coming-of-age novel where violence is the only road to redemption and love is just another word for hope.
