JANUARY 2010 - JRA's story "Shadowboxed" in his Ransom Black cycle was published in The Houston Literary Review.

12.11-13.09 - JRA attended the low-residency MFA program at the University of California, Riverside-Palm Desert.

10.23.09 - JRA had a one sentence story published online at Monkeybicycle.

10.1-3.09 - JRA attended a writers conference in Santa Ana, California where he gave advice on how to find an agent and discussed the craft of voice in fiction. He also had his first In-n-Out burger.

9.26.09 - JRA finished another draft of his novel.

9.24.09 - JRA read his short story "In Memoriam" at the launch of The Literary Review's Summer 2009 literary journal.  The reading was held at Fairleigh-Dickinson University.

9.4.09 - JRA received galleys of his short story "In Memoriam" and the online edition goes  live.  Read it in the fiction section.

9.1.09 - JRA commenced a rewrite of his untitled novel to be finished by the end of September.

8.26.09 - JRA turned 29.

8.24.09 - JRA signed with Douglas Stewart of Sterling Lord Literistic.

8.23.09 - The JRA website is launched.
